Who We Are
We are – knowledge holders, connectors, investigators, curios, doers, dreamers, and change makers.
Real People Collaboration is born out of shared vision and passion for equitable, sustainable, and just society, one on a long and difficult journey of reconciliation on the heels of the truth of the unceded and traditional Indigenous lands coming to light.

Established in 2020, post COVID, Real People Collaboration has been operating as collaborative non-profit social services capacity builder, researcher, policy maker, advocacy, governance developer and educator that offers organizations of all sizes, opportunities to engage, support, and evolve organizations, and amplify the lived expertise of the people they serve from a person centred, social justice, human rights, equity and anti-racist perspective.
As a new collaboration among practicing professionals, Real People Collaboration unites decades of expertise in community service delivery, the not-for-profit sector, philanthropy, law, government, education, healthcare, and administration. We also bring an extensive network of public, corporate, and community partners and allies—and most importantly, a rich tapestry of personal and lived experiences as visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, first-generation immigrants, international students, caregivers, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, campaigners, advocates, and volunteers at both local and national levels.
Throughout our individual journeys, each of us braved discrimination, stigma, bias, systems harms, and our experiences are centred in our work and support we provide. While unique in our backgrounds and stories, we are united by our common humanity, pursuit of justice, and upholding human rights. This ingrained synergy, that we endeavour to amplify, has proven successful in the collective impact on our communities and many programs that are facing diverse and complex challenges. We strive to achieve progressive policies, programs and cultural transformations that will have a positive impact for all.
